DNA

Biological wiring is so freakin' weird.

Three out of 3 of my babies have now started doing a "weird crawl" at 5 months and 1 week. Jack pushed up on his arms like a seal and flung himself forward. Andrew army crawled. And now Simone does this centipede thing, where she scoots her butt high up in the air and then uses it to inch her body forward toward the toy. For the two boys, they started doing the "classic cross-crawl" version at 6 months. Simone appears to be working toward the same goal (I'll let you know in 3 weeks).

Three different crawls, on the exact same day of life. All three of them spent the first week of their 5th month gearing up for it. Grunting and heaving their bodies forward, and sometimes scooching backwards...irritated (understandably) that the toy was moving farther away.

I don't understand this. How does their little body KNOW? Andrew and Jack also started walking at exactly 9 months and 12 days of life. It's like some switch was flipped in their little body that said: "Okay....now walk."

Since Steve and nor I didn't start walking at that age, it must be some combination of our genes that designs this equation. Our "design" must be reddish haired children that crawl at 5 months and 1 week. And walk at 9 months and 12 days.

Is it just coincidence that all three have the same trajectory? I assumed each time it would be different, as the boys were built so dissimilarly. And then everyone told me girls develop differently than boys, so I figured Simone would have her own path to forge. So far, rolling and crawling are right in step.

I love the ridiculousness of it...the drive of the body to evolve forward, almost as an involuntarily reflex that wills baby to crawl.

I need to go vacuum my floor, now that someone can mobilize herself around the room and eat paper scraps. Yikes!

A classic dresser can easily make a wonderful washroom vanity. You may have the dresser custom-made so you can actually match a basin container at the top plus a space for faucets way too. It is a amazing way to re-purpose outdated furnishings and it adds a distinctive charm to your property. Cakg44452e
