Doodles for the baby book

It's funny how children stop putting on weight when they move. They start stretching like taffy instead of being girthy. [Spell-check tells me "girthy" is not a word, but I like it too much to change it].

Simone weighed 17-lbs when she was 5 months old. She started crawling then, and just NOW broke over into 18-lbs (a week away from her 9 month birthday).

It's odd to see her little baby-roundness slim out, and I see her turning into her toddlerhood. She's getting an older-baby face, full control of all of her limbs, really steady on her feet. She looks like she's gearing up to take first steps within the month, I suspect.

Baby girl! You're getting so big. Literally and figuratively.

Happy 18-lb birthday, Simone!
